Restaurant Clermont is located in the right wing of Hotel-Kasteel Bloemendal, an imposing hotel in the heart of the border village of Vaals. While in the rest of the hotel the rich history of the former holiday home of the Aachen cloth manufacturer Johann Arnold von Clermont is clearly perceptible, in the restaurant modern accents predominate – albeit in perfect harmony with existing plasterwork and historical columns.
Restaurant Clermont underwent a thorough metamorphosis in early 2022, the result is spacious, bright and hip. The modern yet warmly decorated restaurant – reminiscent in size of a spacious ballroom – is filled with comfortable sofas, luxurious seats and finished off with exotic touches. Chef Sven Cobben cooks classic French cuisine with a nod to the new fine dining in this entourage. At lunchtime, the menu is at least as tasty but slightly more approachable.
At the back of Clermont we find a spacious terrace, where you can enjoy wine, food and a view of perfectly manicured greenery in peace. And all in the silence of the bubble that is Hotel-Kasteel Bloemendal.
Clermont has 12/20 points Gault&Millau and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, for hotel guests and foodies alike.
