Bouchon d’en Face in ever-bustling Wyck, Maastricht opened its doors in 2013 and in no time grew into the place to enjoy all the finer things French bistro cuisine has to offer. The romantic restaurant breathes France. Or rather Lyon, because the formula of Bouchon d’en Face was completely inspired by the Lyonnaise bistrot. And you can feel it in everything, in the casual atmosphere, the playful interior and the coming and going of French chansons. The menu is filled with French bistro classics, from steak tartarte, escargots, confit de canard, bouillabaise and foie gras, and the wine list features only wines of French origin – without exception.
Due to the great success of Bouchon d’en Face’s French formula, the restaurant was able to expand to twice its original size in 2022. The space to the left of the original restaurant accommodates 40 to 80 guests, reserved for busy days or private events.
In 2023, Bouchon d’en Face celebrated its 10th anniversary. This was celebrated grandly with promotions, a champagne trip to Reims, the launch of a new book and its own wine label. For more information on events and activities in 2024, visit bouchondenface.co.uk
