On a special location on the outskirts of Maastricht lies restaurant Prix de Rome. At the foot of the Louwberg, in an oasis of greenery and vines, a close-knit team led by owner Wouter Houten takes guests on a culinary voyage of discovery. During that journey of discovery, mainly regional ingredients and (modern) French cooking techniques with occasional Asian influences pass by.
Dining, and on Sundays also lunch, is available here in the form of a three- to five-course menu. In addition, Prix de Rome also carries a beautiful a la carte menu with beautiful signature dishes by the chef. Where it is also possible to eat just a main course while enjoying a nice glass of wine. Noteworthy here is the sublime price-quality ratio: here you can enjoy high end.
Luca, who is now maître of the restaurant, takes care of a beautiful wine list with regional wines as well as fine classics from Burgundy. Camille and Raisa, Wouter’s two right-hand men, together with the rest of the team, ensure a fantastic culinary experience.
Apart from dining in the restaurant, there is a sun-drenched, and thus very popular, terrace in summer. Remarkably, Prix de Rome is also very popular among our southern neighbours, who know how to find us from far and wide!
