On the edge of the Ingendael nature reserve lies the impressive five-star superior Ch\u00e2teau St. Gerlach, thoughtfully restored to offer a high-end, multi-experience environment. As a proud member of Relais & Ch\u00e2teaux, the estate encompasses historic buildings\u2014including the original Pachthof, the monastery, and the grain barns\u2014transformed into elegant guest rooms and residences, the refined Les Salons restaurant, the casual Bistro Burgemeester Quicx, a state-of-the-art event venue, and a luxurious Spa & Wellness centre.<\/p>\n

Nestled in the Geul valley and the Ingendael nature area, the estate is surrounded by sprawling parks, a vineyard, herb gardens, orchards, rose gardens, and a church adorned with stunning 18th-century frescoes. The ch\u00e2teau itself dates back to 1200 and was originally built as a monastery to accommodate pilgrims paying homage to the hermit Gerlach of Houthem.
