In late 2018, the couple decided to swap the city-centre restaurant for a more spacious location, which, among other things, resulted in the star being lost. But not for long. Under the new name Marrees, Jan and Patricia achieved another Michelin star in 2020. Michelin refers to the ‘2.0 version of Jan Marrees’ as a ‘must-visit’.
